The newly formed Fellowship of Christian Artists (FCA) at LCC would like to invite interested adults to try their hands at painting in a Paint and Praise event. It will be held on Sunday, February 24, from 5-7 PM in the Ministry Center. We will be painting the night sky, with ties to Biblical verses. Canvases, easels, paints, and brushes will all be provided, along with appropriate music and guidance on how to proceed. There is a $20 suggested donation to cover costs. A signup sheet and more information is at the FCA table in the Commons.

bottles with your spare change, bills, checks (made out to Alpha Pregnancy), you are helping us provide services that will make an eternal impact. Please return your filled bottle to the designated box at Guest Services by February 10.
New book in the LCC Library
Cancer can make a person feel both frightened and powerless. In her book, The Adventures of Cancer Girl and God, author and nurse Anna Fitch Courie journals the struggles she faces as she undergoes treatment. Along the way she finds God’s grace, faith, and hope. Her thoughts are honest and raw, yet encouraging, as she shares advice along the way. This book is helpful for anyone who has cancer or some other life-threatening health condition.
End-of-the-Year Statements – Stop by the table in the Commons today or January 27, to pick up your end-of-the-year statements. Those that are left will be mailed on Monday, January 28.
A Bible Reading Plan for 2019
God’s plan for cultivating spiritual growth in His people involves loving and reading His Word. Since the Bible is the Word of God written, our spiritual maturity is rooted in our regular
interaction with all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. Every Christian should make it a priority to know the Bible better than any other book. Pick up a Guide for the plan at Guest Services.

We would love for new people to come and enjoy the energy and joy we experience as we encourage one another in playing our best! It provides members and non-members the opportunity to socialize and learn from each other and show that God has a purpose for each and every one of us through a variety of ways as we interact with one another. Call the Church office (518)426-0751 with any questions.

We know that when we hear stories of God’s power and grace manifested in people’s lives, we feel encouraged and our faith is deepened. Help us in an effort to encourage others by sharing your stories with us. Please email us at lifestories@lcchurch.org. Some of your stories have been posted on the LCC Facebook Newsfeed. Hear it for the first time or be blessed again! We encourage all LCC to keep sharing your stories of how God is working in your life with others. Shine His light in your life, that others may see. “Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!” – 1 Chronicles 16:8 If you have a LIFEstory and would like to share it with us, please email us at: lifestories@lcchurch.org
  • Equipped to Serve: Room 320; Sundays @ 11:00 AM; Dr. Bob Paeglow and Anna Leung
A Sunday elective for those who want to learn more about caring for the marginalized. The elective is based on materials called “Equipped to Serve” which has helped mobilize a suburban church outside Grand Rapids, MI engage their vulnerable neighbors. The curriculum entails off-site experience of listening to and serving the poor together, as well as in-depth studying, processing and connecting in the class.
  • International Justice Mission Prayer Group: Room 325; Sundays @ 11:00 AM
IJM provides an updated prayer list each week for us to pray through. IJM strongly believes in the power of prayer. When we pray about the very difficult and painful circumstances in which IJM finds children, women and men, we partner with them and God himself, in setting them free. We learn a lot about various forms of human trafficking, slavery and other forms of oppression around the world and how IJM works not only to free those trapped, but also how it works with local governments, law enforcement and courts to reform justice systems.

Jesus said, “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Mark 11:17).  Please take some time to get familiar with our prayer ministries here at LCC.
  • Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting – Every Wednesday night a group of people faithfully pray for our body. The Church Office prepares a weekly prayer guide.  Join them every Wednesday night at 6:30 PM in the Church Office Conference Room.
  • Revival Through Prayer Ministry – This ministry meets twice a month to pray for revival in our church and the Capital District. Please join us in the Ministry Center as we bring our hearts and petitions before the Lord.
  •  E-Prayer Chain – As needs within our body arise, particularly those that are time sensitive or emergencies, those on our E-prayer Chain will receive an email. This venue is used only for the family of LCC and not for outside requests.  If you would like to receive these requests by the E-prayer Chain, please indicate that on the Welcome Card in the back of the pew.
  • Weekly Prayer Guide – If you would like to receive a weekly prayer guide via email, sign up by checking the box on the Welcome card. Hard copies are also available at the Information Center each Sunday.
