JOURNEY TO JOY

Journey to Joy is the small group ministry for women who desire to deepen their walk with Jesus. The purpose of this ministry is to provide small study groups for women who desire to deepen their walk with Jesus by joining others in a journey to joy. WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY/SMALL GROUPS

As our knowledge of God grows in our relationship with Him, we realize how much more there is to know and how much deeper we can go. Primarily a Bible study for the purpose of deepening our understanding of Him, this class also provides times of discussion, testimony, focused prayer and the opportunity to hear special speakers and participate in special offerings.

Prayer and discussion groups provide the opportunity to apply the truth we are learning and to help carry each other's burdens. This study takes place during the Sunday School hour on Sundays, September through June. This class generally meets in the Youth Center (across from the Church office) and is available to any woman that wants to join.

MOMs

MOMs stands for "Morning Out for Mothers." Our purpose is to meet the needs of moms with preschoolers. We meet first as a large group and then as smaller discussion groups from 9:00-11:30 AM, on the second and fourth Tuesdays from September to May. All mothers of young children are invited to a morning of refreshments, fellowship, a craft and an opportunity to discuss their concerns related to being a wife and mother or a single mother of young children. Volunteers from LCC provide childcare for ages birth to five years of age with a Bible-based curriculum for the older children. In addition to the regular meetings, there is a Bible study for moms led by Cindy Conley that meets on the first and third Mondays of the month. MOMs Bible Study

A Bible Study is also made available, in conjunction with the MOMs ministry, on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. Beautiful Feet

"How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!" (Romans 10:14-15) This ministry was birthed out of a teacher's love for Jesus and the girls of St. Anne's Institute, ages 12-18. A group of these teens attended LCC's VBS in 2007 and accepted the Lord as their Savior. Because of this, some women of LCC wanted to continue the ministry to these girls, to follow up these decisions. This was the start of the Beautiful Feet ministry in 2007. This ministry has two components: small group and serving. Both of these components are carried out on Saturday mornings from 10:00-12:30. We provide a church service for the girls including worship, a lesson, discussion and prayer.
