Young AdultsTheDwelling
TheDwelling exists to spiritually impact students ages 18 to 26 from the young adult community to develop within them passion to be authentic Christ-followers. TheDwelling is devoted to moving young men and women through a transition from student ministry into a church-based community of believers. The core strategy is based on our student ministry “Three-Phase” platform (cultivating, planting and reaping) and is the next stage in deepening young adults in their spiritual growth and formulation of a Christian worldview. The components of the ministry include:
TheDwelling - TheDwelling meets Friday nights in various locations.
Friday night Bible studies gather at 6:00 PM for food, fellowship and Bible Study.
Unplugged (Worship) - Unplugged exists to create space for the presence of God, engaging hearts in corporate yet intimate worship and prayer, while focusing on specific aspects of God's character. It is a unique opportunity to sit at the feet of Jesus in a quiet, reverent and honest environment, unplugging from the noise of the world and plugging into His still small voice. This ministry is provided by our young adults but is for the entire Church body.
Click here for information about this month's Unplugged or join our facebook group to stay up-to-date.
Service (Outreach) - We are presently developing our focus on outreach. The fourth Sunday of each month, young adults will “be the church” to our community and beyond. We are currently exploring opportunities with the homeless, elderly and at-risk students.
This is a group for post-college young adults. Both single and married people are welcome to attend. We usually meet on Fridays alternating between activities and Bible study. The first and third Fridays are activity nights, and the second and fourth Fridays are Bible study nights. Come and join us! For more information contact soma@lcchurch.org.
