Support Ministries

Soccer Fellowship - Rick Marsan

The goal (pardon the pun!) of Soccer Fellowship is to provide a fun, athletic, non-competitive experience for adult believers and non-believers. We strive to encourage non-LCC attendees to consider Christ and to enjoy fellowship time together.  Each session is started with prayer and a short Bible study so that everyone remembers to give God the glory for any abilities He has given us. In the gym and on the field, we get our kicks year round.

Softball Fellowship - Gerry Winn

This ministry exists to provide a time of fun and fellowship for young adult through adults. Our purpose is to honor the Lord through athletics. There is a spirit of unity, cooperation, affirmation and respect within our team, which allows us to minister to each other, as well as to other teams. Each time we gather we start and end in prayer, praying that our conduct will be Christ-like. Practice begins in the early spring and the season consists of games with area churches, averaging two games a week for the months of May and June, with the play-offs in July. Call Gerry Winn at 439-4777 for more information. Softball is played on the LCS field near the Church, please check the Worship Guide at the Information Center for times and dates.

Basketball Fellowship - Wes Brown - 727-1880

The Men's Basketball Fellowship provides a fun, athletic experience for adult believers and non-believers. We have a devotional during the evening in which we study the Bible and share prayer requests with one another.  Our purpose is to have Christian fellowship, to expose non-believers to the message of salvation through Christ, and to maintain a Christian attitude as we compete.  The Men's Basketball Fellowship meets Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 PM unless otherwise indicated in the Worship Guide (available at the Information Center in the Church).  The start and end times are subject to change; attendees should check the Worship Guide for updated information.

Evangelism Resources - Christine Crachi

This ministry seeks to provide resources that will help Christians and church ministries share the Gospel with others through providing a wide variety of tracts to use with witnessing. Thousands of tracts are used each year with friends, neighbors and co-workers. Tracts are available on the rack in the Commons.

Library - Doris Kirchner

The Library exists to encourage the spiritual growth of the congregation by providing Christian books, videos, magazines, and audiocassettes for their study needs. The Library is open on Sundays from 9:30 AM-1:00 PM (excluding service times) and Wednesdays from 7:00-9:00 PM (when school is in session).

Audio Outreach Ministry - Chuck Stuber

The Audio Outreach ministry seeks to extend the reach of the Loudonville pulpit.  The impact of this ministry is worldwide and serves both believers and seekers in three main areas:

Encouragement - To those who are homebound, away at college or serving far away.

Resource - To be a personal enrichment and growth tool for individual or group study.

Evangelism - As a source of truth, reaching the unsaved and the unchurched through the hands of those in the LCC family.

Current and previous messages are available for a nominal fee in both audiotape and CD formats.

Welcome Ministries - Pastor Mike Conley

The Welcome ministries are the first line of contact for all our guests and new attendees.  Specific service roles include hosting at the Information Center, door greeting, providing follow-up contact for visitors and assisting with newcomer events.  The universal question on every visitor’s mind is, “Is there a place for me here, and do these people care?”  Let’s answer that question with a resounding “Yes!”  For more information, contact the Church Office at 426-0751.

Coffee Service - Steve Brickman

On Sunday mornings, the Coffee Service provides coffee for the congregation to help create a warm and friendly environment to greet people and fellowship together. This service operates as an extension of Men's Ministry at the church, but women are welcome to participate as well as men. Anyone who would like to help prepare the coffee or clean up should contact either the Church Office or Steve Brickman.

Ushers - Tim Sutphen

The Usher ministry is a dynamic ministry for those who desire to serve the church in a community role. Our mission is to provide a safe, secure and congenial environment for all those attending our church services or special events.

Ushers need to be mature in the faith and represent the ministry of LCC in a professional manner. Ushers are both young and old, male and female, each professionally trained in various aspects of usher ministry. Our traditional usher program consists of eight teams, each with nine members. Each team has a leader who is responsible to ensure that his or her team is trained in each of the usher responsibilities and supervises the team. These teams cover each of the worship services on a rotating basis, usually serving once per month. The usher ministry is also responsible to provide service to all special events at Loudonville Community Church as well.

If you are interested or searching for an exciting and responsible ministry opportunity, then joining the usher ministry might be for you. For more information, please ask any of the ushers you come into contact with or call the Church Office at 426-0751.  For an interview, please contact Tim Sutphen at 376-8184.
