Common Ground Student Ministries
- Joe Lynskey 275-1438
Common Ground Student Ministries exists to spiritually impact students (7th-12th grade) from our church and community and develop within them a passion to be authentic Christ-followers. Common Ground Student Ministries is devoted to moving students through a three-phase strategy of reaching the curious, teaching the convinced, and sending the committed to perform ministry in accordance with The Great Commission. Students and parent may find more details on the Common Ground website: http://commonground.lcchurch.org/ Some of our programs are:
The purpose of Vision is to provide students with a large-group environment in which we promote community and outreach. Activities include a variety of music, worship, drama, Bible study, food and games.
Insight is our small-group format. Insight provides the students with a small discussion-group atmosphere, made up of their respective age groups. Students and leaders develop relationships that enable them to pray, study and apply biblical principles on a deeper level.
- Compassion In Action (CIA)
CIA activities include visiting nursing homes, ministering at the Capital City Rescue Mission, the Ronald McDonald House, etc. We have also partnered with the J.C. Club where once a month students cook, feed and minister to inner-city students. CIA is designed to model Christ-like love through service. CIA is integrated into the small-group format as a vehicle for outreach.
