Morning Out for Mothers (MOMs)
Sue Stori - 377-8220, Catherine Joy Ooms - 965-4716 & Cindy Conley - 463-1027
Our purpose is to meet the needs of moms, including moms who are homeschooling older children, and share Christ’s love through building relationships. MOMs is a weekly ministry from September to May. Childcare workers provide care for ages birth through five years, with a Bible-based curriculum for the older children plus a teaching for homeschooled children.
The MOMs meetings are from 9:30-11:30 AM on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. We meet first as a large group, then as smaller discussion groups. All mothers of young children are invited to a morning of refreshments, fellowship, a craft and an opportunity to discuss their concerns as a wife and mother or a single mother of young children.
On the first and third Tuesdays of each month, there is a Bible study for MOMs led by Cindy Conley. This year we will be studying the Book of 1 Peter. This is a chance to carve out some time in your month to grow in your relationship with God and build closer friendships with other women. The Bible study is interactive and highly practical, teaching each woman how to apply God's word to real life situations. We meet in the Commons from 9:30-11:30 AM. Childcare is provided.

CIA Day
CIA (Christians in Action) is an opportunity to 'walk our talk' by serving as the hands and feet of Jesus at various local organizations. This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Feel free to contact Catherine Zampier for more information at czampier@nycap.rr.com or 479-1505. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Anna's Powerful Pray-ers
Anna's Powerful Prayer-ers is an intercessory prayer ministry for David's Mighty Men. Just as Anna prayed and waited on God's timing, these women are committed to praying and waiting on God to work in the hearts, lives and families of the leaders of our families. The prayer of a righeous man (or woman) is powerful and effective. This intercessory prayer ministry meets in conjunction with David's Mighty Men once a month on Saturdays from 8:30-10:30 AM.
New Beginnings
New Beginnings is a ministry for recently widowed women. They meet once a month for fellowship by sharing a meal or doing a fun activity together. This group offers encouragement and prayer support for one another. Call the Church Office for more information.
Beautiful Feet
"How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!" (Romans 10:14-15) This ministry was birthed out of a teacher's love for Jesus and the girls of St. Anne's Institute, ages 12-18. A group of these teens attended LCC's VBS in 2007 and accepted the Lord as their Savior. Because of this, some women of LCC wanted to continue the ministry to these girls, to follow up these decisions. This was the start of the Beautiful Feet ministry in 2007. This ministry has two components: small group and serving. Both of these components are carried out on Saturday mornings from 10:00-12:30. We provide a church service for the girls including worship, a lesson, discussion and prayer. If you are interested in joining this ministry or getting more information, contact Jen Jewett at jenejewett@gmail.com.
